ARTIS Software releases the PHP Function Index 2.0

Vienna (Austria), March 23rd, 2006. ARTIS Software today announced the release of the PHP Function Index 2.0 for Mac OS X, a significant update to its popular documentation viewer for PHP developers.

The PHP Function Index is a documentation browser to quickly look up any PHP function. Its search offers realtime-filtering of all PHP functions and its AppleScript interface lets you look up definitions easily from within your favorite editor.

New in version 2 is the inclusion of the user contributed notes from PHP.NET: These are downloaded in a batch and are displayed in a new comments drawer. Because the function index and the comments are cached documentation lookup is very fast.

PHPfi is free for academic and hobbyist users, but from professionals who earn money with PHP development there are two licensing options: Starting at $8.50 for freelancers and $16.50 for businesses.
